Pioneer of the Injection Moulding Industry

Rinotop’s roots in the plastic industry date back to the 1950s when Harry Kerbs, a pioneer in the field, introduced injection moulding technology to Finland. “Our position is well-established within the Finnish injection moulding industry. We have cultivated strong, enduring relationships with many clients over the years,” summarizes Janne Immonen.

Rinotop specializes in subcontracting services that cater to various industries, providing tailored solutions for clients in sectors such as medical technology, electronics, and automotive. The company is known for its high-quality manufacturing processes, which include product design, mould production, and a range of finishing services such as printing, surface treatment, and assembly.

Customers can rely on Rinotop’s professionalism and expertise. Notable clients have been including Murata, a global electronics manufacturer, Exel Composites, a specialist in composite materials, and Major manufacturers of dental equipment, such as KaVo Kerr Group and Planmeca.

Additionally, Rinotop is the only Nordic company that manufactures curved mirrors, following the acquisition of Peilituote Oy’s business in 2018. “As an agile player, we see excellent opportunities to expand international trade, particularly concerning mirror products. This expansion is especially promising in the Nordic countries and Germany, and we are excited to explore various other markets as well,” adds Janne Immonen.

Cluster for Plastics and Chemical Industry

Nurmijärvi has established itself as a dynamic hub for the plastics, chemical, and beverage industries, hosting vibrant companies alongside Rinotop. The cluster’s roots extend back to the late 1800s when the Anora Group (formerly Altia) set up its iconic distillery, known today for brands like Koskenkorva and Jaloviina. Anora’s presence has fostered a network of enzyme and biotech firms, including Roal, which operates globally, further enhancing Nurmijärvi’s industrial profile.

The region is also home to Premix Oy, a specialist in electrically conductive plastics; Plastone Finland Oy, known for versatile plastic processing solutions; and Teknos Group Oy, a leading manufacturer of paints and coatings. Together, these companies create a comprehensive ecosystem that supports innovation, collaboration, and efficient supply chains, all within easy reach of the Helsinki metropolitan area.

Combined with a skilled workforce and ongoing initiatives toward sustainability and technological advancements, these advantages make Nurmijärvi an ideal location for companies looking to grow in the plastics, chemical, and biotechnology sectors. The collaborative atmosphere in Nurmijärvi not only fosters innovation but also enhances the competitiveness of the entire cluster in the global market.
