AB Enzymes Finland Oy operates a world-class enzyme production facility in Finland, located in Rajamäki, Nurmijärvi. The company’s story began in the 1970s, when the Finnish state-owned Alko partnered with VTT to develop enzyme production for alcohol manufacturing.

Hyvinkään Lämpövoima has begun construction of a €33 Million thermal energy storate facility in Hyvinkää, located in the Helsinki Ring of Industry region. The facility will become the largest of its kind globally – and the first of its kind in Finland. The energy company Loviisan Lämpö, operating in Pornainen, was among the first in the world to utilize the commercial energy storage developed by Polar Night Energy. Fiberwood is a technology startup located in Järvenpää, within the Helsinki Ring of Industry area. The company develops fossil-free insulation and packaging protection materials for the construction industry, utilizing by-products from the forest industry and other natural fibers. The development of material innovations will take a leap forward in the fall of 2025, when the new pilot line is put into operation.
