Enifer to Launch World’s First Sidestream Mycoprotein Plant

Helsinki Ring of Industry's innovative food and beverage portfolio is set to expand with the Finnish biotech scaleup Enifer establishing a new factory in Kirkkonummi. The facility, slated for completion by the end of 2025 and projected to cost €33M, will convert food industry side streams into Enifer’s sustainable PEKILO® fungi-based protein ingredients. This will be the world's first commercial plant to produce such mycoprotein from side stream raw materials.
